Security
Each organisation is separate. People sign in. Administrators can see what changed.
Sign-in
AvailableAn invitation in the link is accepted as part of sign-in.
Separate organisations
AvailableOne person can belong to more than one organisation and switch between them.
Roles
AvailableThe product roles are Tenant admin, Archivist, Member, and Viewer. On this site those are Organisation administrator, Document manager, Contributor, and Viewer. A platform administrator manages the installation and is separate from a tenant role.
Document and folder access
PlannedAccess today follows the role on the organisation. Finer restrictions are not in this release.
Audit trail
AvailableOrganisation administrators read the trail in Settings.
Share links
PlannedExternal expiring links are not in this release.
Local storage
AvailableThis is a designated filesystem on the server. It does not mean the archive works offline.
Amazon S3
AvailableThe deployment chooses local storage or S3. Metadata, permissions, and the audit trail stay in Dox either way.
Retention rules
PlannedRetention is described in the sample archive policy. The product does not enforce a period yet.
Legal hold
PlannedLegal hold is not in this release.
Traffic is protected by the host’s HTTPS. Files at rest are protected by the disk or the bucket the deployment uses. Dox does not offer a separate encryption toggle in this release.
